
When the younger bison herd we have at the home place is fed, the "pecking order" is jostled around. At this time, animals can get gored, jumped on to be pushed out of the way and possibly hurt. We spread the hay out the best way and fast as we can in order to avoid as much unpleasant interaction as possible.
